Welcome back Brothers:
I truct you are all refreshed from our summer break and ready to resume the important work set before us. As we do, let us remember the life of Right Worshipful Brother Alan J. Cunningham and the significant contributions he made to Masonry and the Shriner's hospitals. He set the example we all can emulate. While we endeavor to educate our new Brothers as to the relevance of our fraternity and its tenets in today's society, we also need to make our communities more aware of our good works and our desire to invite additional good men to join us. Participation in the CHIP Event and the Connecticut Freemasons Open House, work toward that end. We will end the summer with the 15th annual Don Studley Memorial Charity Pig Roast on September 19th, and begin the fall by supporting the CHIP Event during the Unionville Festival on Sunday, September 25th. The E.A. Degree will be presented on September 26th, the F.C. Degree on October 24th, and the M.M Degree on November 28th. The state wide Grand Lodge Open House is scheduled for October 15th. Also take note of the two Blue Lodge Council Meetings at Silas Deane #147 and Unity #148, the Grand Lodge Semi-Annual Session in October, and we will have Rt. Wor. Jean Maheu from the Shrine to speak to us in November. I am excited about our schedule of activities and would like to impress upon you, my Brother, the importance of your involvement and support. Please join us at Lodge and fortify the Craft! Fraternally, Rob Galbraith W.M. |
